Throughout art history, hens and chickens are often portrayed as either confined or cooped-up inside. Vital Farms believes every chicken should roam free in an open pasture… even the ones in paintings.

Thanks to advances in AI technology and the viral trend of using Adobe Photoshop’s #GenerativeFill tool to expand art, Vital Farms is symbolically freeing these cooped-up hens inside art and giving them a pasture to finally roam free in. Since so many of these Generative Fill transformations were happening on TikTok, we launched on the platform with a small film and got some of the best graphic designers on the platform to free some hens.
